About the Carson City Hot Shots
The Carson City Hot Shot Shots is a club organized within the Capitol City Gun Club's (CCGC) Youth Shotgun Shooting Academy (YSSA). The CCGC YSSA is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
The Carson City Hot Shots is a competetive program that teaches young adults the sport of shooting trap and sporting clays. Youth Hot Shots participate in a number of programs.
Nevada 4-H Youth Development - Although organized under the Capitol City Gun Club, the Hot Shots operate as part of the Nevada System of Higher Education Cooperative Extension 4-H program. All Hot Shot participants must be registered with the 4-H program to participate with the club in the 4-H shooting program and other club affiliated shooting activities.
California Youth Shooting Sports Association (CYSSA) - The CYSSA Clay Target Program is a team based YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM for boys and girls, grades 12 and under, that provides it’s participants with a positive, life enhancing experience. It is an opportunity for young people to participate in a supervised, shotgun shooting sports program taught by Certified Coaches that emphasizes gun safety and skill development in clay target shooting. The learning environment at team practices and at competitive events is designed to include the element of fun for all participants. Good sportsmanship, individual responsibility, self-discipline, positive academic progress and personal commitment are emphasized in the CYSSA program.
USAYESS is a non-profit organization and the nation's only all-inclusive youth program which introduces, grows, supports, and educates youth, and their families to firearm safety, shooting sports and wildlife conservation and habitat.
