Youth Trap Shooting Acadamy of Capitol City Gun Club

Capitol City Gun Club

All participants must go through our club safety program and have a parent or guardian present when shooting.

Coaches are accredited through 4-H shooting sports and/or NRA coaching program and RSO certification with many volunteers being range safety officers. Our goal is that youth learn life abilities and habits, for them to become positive individuals in society while having fun breaking targets.

Experienced shooters and beginners are welcome and encouraged to stop by and check us out!

We shoot every Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Capitol City Gun Club located at 3590 Arrowhead Drive, Carson City, Nevada.

The Carson/Douglas Hot Shots Clay Target Program is a learn to shoot and team based YOUTH DEVELOPMENT and EDUCATION PROGRAM for boys and girls, grades 12 and under. The youth education program provides its shooting sports participants with a positive, life enhancing experience. Our mission is to develop, grow and support young people to participate in outdoor activities, hands-on events, wildlife habitat, outdoor conservation and safe firearm handling in a supervised shotgun shooting sports program.

The program is taught by Certified Coaches that emphasizes gun safety and skill development in clay target shooting. The learning environment at team practices and at competitive events is designed to include the element of fun for all participants. Good sportsmanship, individual responsibility, self-discipline, positive academic progress and personal commitment are all emphasized in the Carson/Douglas Hot Shots program.
